Dede Crough
Marketing Director
Dede joined NouSoma Communications in January 1996 and was named
Marketing Director a year later. She works with all accounts,
assisting in planning, writing copy, editing, layout and press
contact.
Having grown up in the Philadelphia area, she headed to Boston
after graduating cum laude in 1985 from Middlebury College
(Middlebury, Vermont) with a B.A. in English. After a short stint
with Cone Communications, Inc., a Boston PR firm, Dede accepted a
position with Chamber Theatre Productions, Inc., a national
repertory theatre company. Her responsibilities there included box
office management, tour planning, training and advertising.
Tired of driving on the Garden State Parkway, Dede returned to
Pennsylvania in 1991 and spent several years at Horsin’Around, Inc.,
a screenprinting/embroidery/ad specialties company where she managed
the wholesale division, developed new designs, produced ad and
catalog copy and supervised all major retail accounts.
A veteran comedy improv performer, she serves in a volunteer
capacity as Marketing Associate with City Theater Company of
Wilmington, Delaware, where she takes to the stage every summer.
Other volunteer experience includes Reins of Life therapeutic
horseback riding, WXPN 88.5 non-commercial radio in Philadelphia,
and Help the Animals. Dede lives in rural Chester County, PA, with
three rescued dogs. She competes with one of them in flyball (a canine
relay race) and is studying dog behavior and training methods.
